Rainwater Harvesting

poor water pressure tap

Rainwater harvesting is a method of saving and using the rainwater which naturally falls and generally flows off surfaces and down your drain. With a rainwater harvesting system this rainwater would be collected and can be used where processed drinking water is not required such as toilet flushing, gardens watering and vehicle or driveway wash downs. A storage tank can be fitted to collect the rainwater with a filter which excludes all debris or dirt which is then plumbed into the appropriate places to provide the collected water.

This water can then be used for non drinking and bathing purposes and reduce wastage of treated drinking water where it is not needed. This is becoming a growing trend for people who would like to save money on their water bills and would like to get around the current limitations of the hosepipe bans which we are seeing year in and year out.

It has been reported in some areas, depending on the amount of rainfall that you would generally expect and the size of the roof span which is to collect the rainwater, that domestic customers could save up to 50% on their metered water bills, commercial customer are often a lot more due to the size of premises and water usage types.

Many domestic and commercial customers are turning to this a method of home imporvement and adding value to their home but with a vision of saving money on their water bills immediately.Call us now to discuss the various options available.
